Bank slots! There are 8 banks tabs, I suggest the following:
I’ve put this into place during Beta as a test (start with one tab, each additional tab costs 1000 energy credits, I’m happy to pay this myself).
Further suggestions are that recruits should not be able to withdraw any items, but once promoted to Flight Member should be allowed full access. This will prevent the “clean out the guild” phenomena (not that I know what it’s called) to a certain degree, but will never completely prevent it if someone is dedicated enough.
Thoughts?

Yeah I think it’s a good idea. I’d like to think that most people are friendly and trustworthy, but you never know in this day and age, so having to be a Flight Member before being able to withdraw items from the bank is a good safety net.
What about depositing items into the bank? Would we allow anyone to add items to the bank if they wanted (but just not withdraw them)?
Also, what do we have to do to move up the ranks, as it were?

Some of those comments are listed in the fleet rules draft. Members should have access to this (if you are registered and logged in, but have no access, please let me know and I can sort things out for you) as I don’t want to make them public until they are finalised.

The fleet bank is getting rather full, although apparently a new tab in the bank costs over a million energy credits, which we dont have right now! That seems a little excessive to me, but that’s how it is. I guess it’s time to start saving up…

If it gets too full, I’ll start selling duplicate items and put the proceeds towards a bank tab — it’s really frustrating, as bank tabs were 1000 during beta, and for the price to go up to 1,233,000 per tab makes it ridiculous.

Speaking of structure, how do people feel about getting more structured? Such as…
XO for PvP
XO for Steam
XO for Events
XO for Recruitment
It could be “XO in charge of [fill blank]” rather than “for”, if that would work better. Suggestions or volunteers are welcome.

I’m up for that. Anything that gives a little bit of structure/responsibility is a good thing. I don’t really have much to do with Steam so I wouldn’t recommend myself for that, but I’d be happy to do anything else.

I wouldn’t mind being in charge of fleet events as I am on quite often. Just don’t put me in charge of recruitment.…in every MMO I’ve been in and was forced into a recruiter position I always seemed to find stupid/retarted/ or overly needy people that eventually left or was kicked.…seems bad luck for me to be a recruiter so yeah.… Also I was thinking about this already.…if we could get a few groups together to run some of the fleet action mission like starbase 24 or something. Even if it was just for shits and giggles I think it be fun to get a fleet group together and rock some of those.

Amen. As this is my first MMO, I’m quite eager to try out some PvP stuff. I’m guessing that PvP with your fleet is the best way to do it, so count me in!

PVP with a fleet group would be cool as we could coördinate easily with the use of vent. I’m not sure how the pvp in this game works though.

Do we have a Bank manager? Someone should clean out the redundant/low level gear from time to time. Procceds go back into the bank. Not sure if we need 5 MK 1 disruptor arrays in there. I volunteer for that.

It’s already been cleared out once I think, but if it needs it again then I’d say go for it. It’s a shame the new tabs cost so much, as we could do with having more space. Still, the last time I checked the fleet had 225,000 energy credits or something, so we’re 20% of the way there!

I aggree that we don’t really need the odd number MKs or white items but some even MKs (after the first teirs like the MK IVs and better) could actually help someone out especially when bumping up to the next teir ships. I started clearing out the bank when I am on and turning the cash from selling the junk items back into the bank.
